Description
Dullcote is a lacquer-based clear overcoat, used to seal and protect painted surfaces.
It is used for altering glossy surfaces to give them a flat look, and to protect decals.
It can be used over all Testor/Pactra/Model Master enamels and acrylics, when latter have dried at least 24 hours or more.
If you need to thin, use 1159X Thinner Only.

Used the product on two of my carved decoys. The product leaves an excellent matte finish when drying is complete. I have used this product on a woodpecker decoy that remains outdoors all season. This decoy has endured two winters with no deterioration.
I mix 50/50 with lacquer thinner for use in my airbrush. Nothing beats it!
It’s my go to flat varnish, works perfectly everytime.
I like to mix it 50/50 with Mr.color rapid thinner
Easy to use thru an airbrush….just clean up brush when finished. Can also be painted on with a paint brush.
Knocking one star because despite shaking it for a while (it becomes separated) it would go glossy occasionally. I think it is because I was applying directly to the paint, whereas when I painted it over Krylon spray on clear gloss, it worked nice, so I will keep doing that.
