Description

During WWII, the German infantry were issued with the precise 8cm GrW 34 mortar. This plastic assembly model kit realistically depicts a German infantry mortar team beginning to fire the weapon with two soldiers holding it down, one loading it, and one yelling “fire!” The 8cm GrW 34 mortar can also be depicted in an un-assembled state for when it is not in use. Further enriching the kit are parts to depict wooden and metal ammunition cases (two each) as well as mortar shells.

Dynamic Possibilities

1995 vintage figure set. Not sure why I bought it, other than a fascination with mortars and their tactical employment. I anticipate a vignette with the crew in action. Moulding is very good, as is the selection of equipment to outfit the team. A steal at this price.

This kit arrived with a bigger order in remarkably quick time. I have started it and believe it will fit in well with a big diorama that is under way. Can't wait to finish it and have it take its place.
