Tamiya acrylic paints are made from water-soluble acrylic resins and are excellent for either brush painting or air-brushing. These paints can be used on styrene resins, Styrofoam, wood, plus all of the common model plastics. The paint covers well, flows smoothly and can be blended easily.
When airbrushing make sure to use any of the following Tamiya thinners: 81020, 81030, 81040, 81520, 87077

Difficult to clean air brush after use
It matches if not better than Testors enamel. Thins easily.
Can be removed if you make mistake, using Alcohol.
When completely dry, you can you enable paint to trim. And if you smudge enable, Canberra removed using varsol, because acrylic does not react to varsol.
Tamiya X-7 Red provides good coverage. Like all Tamiya acrylic paints it needs thinning for air brush applications. I add some retarder and thinner when brushing this paint. An excellent product.
