Revell Color Stop is a rubber-like mass that is applied with a brush. In this way, strips or shapes can be left out by painting over or spraying the paint and then peeling off again with the solidified mass.

Color Stop Masking Fluid

First time I try this product. It is a masking "paint", and is cream-colored so you see where you put it, but when dry it becomes a clear film that protects the covered areas from the final brushed or sprayed acrylic or enamel color eventually applied. When dry, it can be cut with a sharp knife, like masking tape, and is easily removable when done. One issue is that it is not really smooth, rather a bit lumpy, rendering detailed application a little less easy, but it is working nevertheless. Another issue is that it is hell to try to clean the brushes used to apply it, no solution or solvent seems to be sold or recommended by Revell for cleaning that stuff.
