GX Primary line, gloss finish

Mr.Color GX hobby paints improve on the qualities of Mr.Color hobby paint, and take them to the next level. They feature quick drying and a very hard coating when dry.

Mr.Color GX paints feature brighter color development, greater covering power and dry to a smoother and harder finish than regular Mr. Color hobby paints. These features have been realized without using the use of toluene.

Mr.Color GX paints can be mixed with standard Mr.Color paints currently on the market, and use Mr.Color Thinner, Mr.Rapid Thinner or Mr. Levelling Thinner for paint dilution or cleaning of paint brushes and airbrushes.

Simply the best balance of ease of use and ultra gloss

This was the first time i used Mr Color paints, let alone GX100. I have been a Tamiya user for 25 years. I could never get the ultra glossy finish without runs, or rough patches. I always had to put in a LOT of sanding and polishing for the show-ready finish.
Not any longer... the GX100 with Leveling Thinner is simply the easiest clear I have ever used that still provided the 2K-like gloss. The airbrush recommended ratio of a simple 1:2 ratio for initial cover followed by a 1:1 ratio for final coats is brilliant. For the unskilled airbrush er (ME) , it flows and sets at the perfect rate so that you aren't hazing over parts of the model as you circle around to your starting point. Yet, it isn't so droopy that you get runs -- simply excellent -- i use it so much now i wish they sold larger jars! One jar can do 2 cars (5 coats total) (1/24).

The best clear imo. Used with leveling thinner at 60/40 ratio.
