Vallejo Fire Fury Paint Set of 6 70243

I purchased this set to get the proper paints to create realistic flame effects on some of my miniatures. I was curios to see what the instruction sheet was like as I am keen to learn some of the more advanced painting concepts.

As a whole the paints themselves were in good shape, no dried up or other issues. The colour selection worked perfectly to create the flame effects I wanted. The instructions took a bit to understand but after some trial and error I was able to make sense of them. The final effect was rather pleasing despite some initial clumsiness on my part. The way they used the white paints to assist in creating a richer, secondary colour coat over it was a nice surprise.

One word of caution is that this method will entirely cover the miniature. If you are wanting an opaque effect you will want to try inks or Warhammers contrast paints. If you are like me and want to learn how some of the pro's do it to learn some new techniques, then I don't think you will be disappointed. I wasn't.

It came quick, the colours are all there and the price is one of the best I’ve found.
