The bottle is full of pigments chunks. Virtually impossible to mix smooth. After using it two time and getting my airbrush clogged both time i just bought a primer from an other brand.
Hi Christian,
Thank you for your order. We've been experiencing a lot of issues with this primer. Please send us an email at info@sunwardhobbies.ca and we can either provide a refund or replacement.
I ordered this product with some other bottles and the metallics set. Everything in the order showed up fine except for this monstrosity. I added it to my spray gun and instantly noticed it was very chunky (Thanks for the lost hour for me to pull it apart and clean it completely). As you can see from the picture, the medium has completely separated from the paint. I called Sunward to get a solution or replacement, and they told me to send them the photos so they could review them. That was over a week ago, with no response from Sunward. I also saw that someone else had this problem in the reviews; I should have taken that as a warning sign about Sunward.
Their excuse was that it must have frozen on the way here. If all the other paints that arrived also had this problem, I could see that being true, but it is obviously from a complete lack of quality control before distributing the product. Very disappointed in Sunward. I tried to support a Canadian company, even after discovering that shipping was not included (says it is all over the website). The best bet is to order from Amazon; it works out to the same price, and it gets here in 2 days instead of a week.
Hi Brandon,
We replied to your email regarding the issue, but never received a response.
Water based paint does have issues during the winter months - the primers did give us issues this winter, but we always offer a replacement or a refund.
We're sorry to hear you're disappointed in our service, but without a response we can't provide the full experience.
The bottle says 'perfect coverage' but you'll never run this clumpy mess through your airbrush.
The paint is totally useless.
The BLACK AP Air Primer I purchased at the same time was fine... maybe this was just a bad batch.
I threw a bunch of mixing balls in the bottle and it spent a lot of time on the vortex mixer and it didn't help.
Hi Dom,
When a paint is clumpy, it's usually due to being frozen during the winter months. We've been having issues with the Army Painter primes all winter. Please send us an email with your order number and mention that you left a review on this product.
Thank you.
First time using Army Painter Air primers, went on really smooth, no issues with clogging or dry tip.
Sprays from the airbrush wonderfully out of the bottle, nice and smooth coat. Sticks well to the models I've primed
