This is a highly detailed model of the WWII German tank destroyer Nashorn. The full size vehicle featured an 8.8cm gun also known as a PAK 43 and it was fitted to the upper surface of a light turret less chassis. Even though the vehicle was lightly armored, the PAK43 weapon was capable of penetrating 190mm of armor at 1,000 meters. The Nashorn saw action with German heavy antitank battalions fighting Soviet and Allied forces during much of the conflict. Due to its relatively low cost and superior mobility compared to heavier tanks it remained in production until the end of the WWII war.

Not built yet, but will be typical Tamiya quality, and great fit. Sunward got this kit to me in 3 days from other side of the country. i highly recommend any Tamiya products, and Sunward Hobby.

Looks good

I haven’t built the kit yet but like all Tamiya products it looks like a good quality kit. My only reason for 4 stars is that I wish Sunward would find a better way of shipping within Canada. It arrived quickly, but cost 4 times what I’ve paid to have kits shipped from Europe. I would really like to patronize a Canadian company but the shipping costs are outrageous if you’re outside a major centre.
