First off let me start by saying that I am 65 years old and the eyes and finger dexterity are not what they used to be and that comes into play as I am building this model kit. It is also the reason I choose a large scale model kit to build after being away from it for over 20 years and learning to do it again.
What I like about the kit is the attention to detail that reflects the actual bike , the use of actual real world materials ( tires , metal bits for suspension etc ) and the order of the build . The color of the body panels is also nice ( my kit they were red ) and you could build the kit without painting it if you so choose . I would have prefer that some of the smaller parts were molded into the larger parts ( old man finger dexterity and eyes thing ) to reduce the trouble of positioning them in tight spaces as the build progresses and shaky hands aren't helping. It would have been nice if they had made the chain drive as a working component to add to the realism but that is a small issue . Another thing I wish they would do is; up size the inside diameter of the tubing that comes with the kit because I found that in some instances pushing the tubing on the tiny plastic peg was difficult and it you push too hard you could brake the tiny pin off, ( I did my best to open the end of the tubing with a tooth pick and this helped somewhat ) . The only other think I would say that I would like to see improved is on the instructions a better identifying part position when a line is used to show where the part goes as I have seen directions/instructions with other kits that show with colored photos where and how a part looks once installed . I do like the photos they included of a completed part but they were in black and white . Over all I am enjoying the experience of building the kit and remembering again the joy of kit building . I am thinking if i can complete this kit without a major screw up that I would like to try a tank next . I would also like to salute to those who build kits and add the detail and realism I have seen in videos and photos ; wow ! you guys really make them pop and come to life - great job all .
