Easy Scribing
These scribing saws are ideal for remaking details that are lost when cleaning up seam lines or deepening existing panel lines. Compared with Item 74094, the teeth of these saws are smaller and have a finer pitch. Both straight and rounded saw blades are included. The grips can be folded over for the saws to be used as they are, and they may also be attached to a Modeler’s Knife (Item 74040).
Made from 0.1mm thick stainless steel.

I have use many techniques for scribing panel line and have found these saws are the best. Take your time and let the saw do the work, you will rewarded with great results.
These Tamiya Fine Craft Saws are really good for cutting a fine line. If like me you have never used them before I would recommend practicing on spare pieces of plastic before using them on your model.
These are an excellent item. I thought they'd be easily damaged, but they're quite sturdy if used with a bit of care - I'm still on my first one, and I've used it a lot. I just wrapped some masking tape around the handle end; this works quite well. Not are they useful for scribing, they're also very effective as actual saws, too.
The Tamiya fine craft saw kit 74097 is a great addition to my modeling tools . These fine tooth blades fit in my excel modelers knife my #11 blades fit in . Take your time cutting with them and let the blade do the work because you could bend them easily. I consider them an essential tool for my model car building especially if you modify frames etc 👍
