France’s Lightweight Super Rally Car.
The Alpine A110 raced in rallies around the world from the late 1960’s through to the early 1970s. The rear wheel drive A110 featured a lightweight FRP body and was powered by a rear mounted 4-cylinder engine. In the 1971 Monte Carlo Rally, this compact design and a powerful 1,600cc engine allowed quick, agile running on the icy mountain tracks, giving the A1110 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for a clean sweep of the podium.

This model was good in how well it all fit. Just wish Tamiya would give better disclosure about number of parts and rate the skill level. A competitor does a much better job of this. This was a really simple model that I would not have purchased had I had better info. The beauty though was in Sunward’s usual outstanding service. Purchased on a Friday and had it only hands on Monday. Thanks Sunward!!!!
Nicely detailed, assembling the model went smoothly. So you know, the typical Tamiya experience!
A beautiful kit that comes with a fully detailed engine.The chrome plating was flawless. The parts fit so precisely, making this a joy to build. Cartograph decals for two versions are included and the printing of these is razor sharp.
The underside pan is molded in clear allowing you to see the chassis and engine detail however this is marred slightly by ejector pin circles. I plan to paint the pan on my model so this is not an issue for me. Seat belts are also lacking and will have to be made up from masking tape.
An excellent kit, as you would expect from Tamiya. Fit and finish outstanding as always. Sunward service was courteous and prompt - the best online dealer I have found so far.
