Tried all manner of paints and lacquers in an effort to repair the finish on one of my replica old west revolvers, on which the nickel plating had scratched through to the initial copper layer and then to the underlying bare metal. Nothing came even close to the tone and finish needed. Then I decided to try the Bare Metal Chrome, and it took care of the matter in less than an hours work. I "replated" most of the frame and the grip backstop using a few carefully cut pieces, and they not only conformed themselves perfectly to the curved surfaces with no wrinkles or tears but also showed no seams or traces of overlap once gently burnished and buffed. It’s hard to spot where the original nickel plating ends and the refinished areas start unless you know what you're looking for. I’m a very satisfied customer.
