Heinz Jordan brushes are an affordable option for high-precision synthetics. The only bad thing I could say about them is that the smaller brushes can often get metallics gumming up their ferrule, after which there really is no coming back from that. The same could be said for any kind of brush though. That aside, I'm not chemist, so I don't actually know what the material IS, but White Taklon actually keeps its point and shape relatively well. While they do wear down with use, you get quite a lot of mileage out of them before they inadvertently end up as Texture Brushes.
