La description

Give your 0.7mm Tritium, Genesis.XGi, and XSi airbrushes the ability to spray in a fan pattern. This kit includes the fan spray cap as well as the needle, nozzle and nozzle cap.

Inspired by full sized spray guns, the Grex Fran Spray Cap transforms your airbrush into a “mini spray gun” allowing for more efficient, quicker and even coverage of larger areas. This changes the standard round spray pattern of an airbrush into an elongated fan spray pattern of a spray gun. A very useful and desired trait for laying down even coverage with less passes.

*Note: Using the 0.5mm Grex Fan Spray Cap will require more airflow than the standard nozzle cap. You may need to use a larger compressor. Please consult the chart below.

Traits:

– Includes installation and usage instructions.

– For use with Tritium.TG, Tritium.TS, Genesis.XGi and Genesis.XSi with a 0.3mm needle and nozzle

Like turning on a fire hose.

This thing is great, the fan tip is amazing I wish I knew about them ages ago. Now probably not something you want to use all the time but couple it with a larger bore needle like the .70mm and you are base coating like never before.

For those that are not aware the fan tip takes the normally round circle of paint that comes out of the airbrush and flattens it out to a wide narrow oval, more like what you would get if you dipped the end of a flat brush in paint and just touched the paint to a surface.

This is great for painting large flat areas be they tanks, buildings or in my case very big dolls, where you want very even coverage over a broad area.

The .70mm needle however does have one issue, it is very thirsty. You need more air and way more paint then you think as it will drain a small gravity cup in seconds.

If you have a big cup use it, or if you can use it and you plan to make a lot of use of big needles look into the big big cup options Grex makes that are on here. I personally am thinking of using the syphon cup with a few spares ready to go.
