I remember the first Time l saw a Great Dane reefer,that goes way Back to the late 70 s, when l was a teenager,trucker wannabe ,riding with my uncle everytimes l could for a trip South of the border.
Back Then ,IT was the very first one with ,the front and the Back Doors made out of Shiny Stainless steel .
A Guy Who could afford to Buy a reefer like this ,really got IT made.
I have Many of Them in collection,all painted différents colors to match the tractors.
The building instructions are really easy to Read,Back in the Days ,ERTL ,were the easiest to put together anyways.
That trailer is the reflect of the owner operators of the 70 s and early 80,s when the forty footers were the norm of the American Highway.
The only thing l never really liked in that kit are the spoke wheels,yes l know IT is a 70 kit,but l always swap Them for chromed BUDDS from other kits,not really an issue for me,cause l need the SPOKES to build logging or excavation trucks
I am going to build a turpike double with the two last l bought.
