The roughness displayed on the product page is not at all what you get when the product dries. If there's a specific way this is supposed to be used, it's not evident or explained.

Great value for the 250mL tub you're getting. It has a slightly larger texture size than the regular earth product from AK, but not by much. Sometimes I use one, sometimes the other.

Goes on nice and easy, looks just like natural ground once painted.

An excellent product! You get a large quantity for a very low price compared to similar products from other manufacturers. If you lay this texture on thickly (2mm) it tends to dry fairly smoothly; if you use thin coats (1mm or less) the texture becomes more apparent.
The product dries white and can be coloured easily with any water-based acrylic. The textured "chunks" in the paste are fairly random in size and shape and lend a fairly natural look when dry.
