This book has been an immensely powerful influence on my miniature painting; Kanaev is masterful in his detailed explanations of a wide range of both theoretical and practical topics, all directly applicable to miniature painting.

I couldn’t possibly be happier with my purchase, and I feel as though if I had to have one “desert island book” on the subject of miniature painting, this would absolutely be it, due to both it’s comprehensiveness, and it’s depth of explanation.

I would wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone seeking to improve their approach to miniature painting.
