The Hawker Hurricane was the RAF’s most vital fighter in the early years of WWII. These tough, partly fabric covered monoplane fighters put in a valiant defence against the numerically superior Luftwaffe during the Blitzkrieg. Although slower than the Messerschmitt Bf109, and with a less destructive armament, the Hurricane was able to turn tighter, and absorb considerable punishment.

I’ve only just started the build and so far the kit is excellent. The detail and fit is so far, perfect. I went off Airfix as I thought the quality of their kits dropped off. Not so with this one or the Stuka. I will definitely buy Airfix again. Also I should add that the service from Sunward is top notch.

Airfix Hurricane

I had purchased two 1/48 scale models. This one, and Revell Stuka. The amount of detail in the Hurricane is fantastic for the size of the plane. This was my first Airfix kit, but you can be sure it won't be my last. The detail in the cockpit, gun bays and landing gear is awesome. All the parts fit together perfectly, and the decals went on with ease. Overall a very nice model !
