All the Citadel Shades provide a unique option for painting miniatures. These very thin paints collect in the recesses and corners of your model, which help provide a lot of contrast. Using this shade overtop of a base coat will help provide shadows with a tint, and then help show you were to place your highlights.
The only hesitancy I have is that this product is fairly expensive. You can create a type of wash using thinners or even just water. However, the Citadel shades are easy to use, and will save you time if you're painting a large number of miniatures.
