This plastic model kit offers the authenticity scale modelers have come to expect from AMT. Its 38 simple-to-assemble parts were painstakingly researched to provide many details present on the 322’-tall SLS (Space Launch System) when it launched on November 16, 2022. It showcases the Launch Abort System, Cryogenic Propulsion Stage, Launch Vehicle Stage Adapter, Core Stage, Solid Rocket Boosters, and its four RS-25 Engines. The water-slide decals provide NASA markings, small surface details, and tracking markings. Also included is a full-color booklet featuring information, fun facts, and photos about the Artemis I mission.

A very simple model, easy to assemble. Painting the tanks might be tricky. The tanks are sprayed with insulating foam in real life, the more the foam is exposed to UV light he browner they become. So any colour between light yellow and bark brown should be fine.

Where's the detail

The molded parts are easy to assemble. However there is no information on paint requirements so you have to have a good selection available to blend colours to match the picture also the stand with the Artemis symbol is not a decal but has to be painted freehand.

Another NASA model I've had to have. Hard to find elsewhere but Sunward restock relatively fast they're stock, so I've waited and still am satisfied. Not even a scratch on the box.
