Application Guide for Plastic Models:
Alclad 4107 is for use on injection plastic model kits.
A primer is necessary – High-Shine ALCLAD finishes require a glossy base coat.
One of these primers MUST be applied before using High Shine ALCLAD:
ALCLAD Gloss Black Base ALC-304/305
ALCLAD Clear Base ALC-303
Preparation and Spraying:
The surfaces to be painted must be thoroughly clean and free from dust, grease, oil, and finger marks.
Apply the correct primer for the type of Alclad being used.
ALCLAD should be sprayed at 12-15psi. Spray from a distance of 2-3 inches from the surface being painted using a narrow to medium width spray fan. Use the airbrush like a paint brush-aim to cover the model in a methodical manner.
Buffing is not necessary-tonal variation can be made by polishing selected panels with Micromesh.
Contents subject to change.
Either I don’t know how to paint or this is no good I tried it on a plastic bumper and it’s not good for big stuff maybe models
Hi Chad,
This is airbrush ready paint, so can't be used with a paint brush. This required a black base and can only be used on models - we hope you didn't use on a real car!
