Ordered this file set when I returned to my scale modelling hobby after too many years of absence. These files are well-made and easy to use, especially with the aluminum handle, some more so than others, depending on what is needed. I use them primarily to file down coarse sections in preparation for finer work. In that regard, they are very effective, the different forms allow for filing of a range of surface shapes. For plastic parts they can be fairly aggressive, so care needs to be taken not to remove too much material. When shaping custom putty parts they are excellent, as the cut allows for quick removal of unwanted material. I imagine they'd work really well on wood, too.
